Every organisation changes over time, and also due to place and circumstance, and you seem to have found the right formula. I was in the Brit army for 33 years and definitely the army I joined in 1979 was very different from the army I left in 2012. It wasn't better or worse, just different. Of course many of us older ones looked back at "the good old days", but were they really better, or just different? We certainly had to be much more careful about legalities and wider sensitivities external to our organisation, whether we agreed with it all or not. But to survive with our reputations in tact sometimes we have to see the bigger picture and adapt whilst not changing our core values. So for you to survive for 70 years is admirable.
(I ride a Victory High-Ball out here in Taiwan. There is no chapter here (in fact, no MCs at all) - I think our nearest is Thailand. If only I were 20 years younger!)
Thank you guys so much!!
